URE. - Peacefully at Parklands Care Home on the 27th of May 2016, Barbara Ure aged 96 years, a loving wife to the late Mathew, loving mother to Adrian, grand mother to Trayton. Will be sadly missed by all family and friends. The funeral will take place on Monday 6th June 2016, service at Ludgate Parish Church at 11.30am thereafter to Sunnyside Cemetery arriving at 12.30pm. There will be a retiral collection in lieu of flowers for Parklands Care Home. Co-op Funeralcare, Alloa. 01259 724211.

So sad to read this news . I too am a former pupil of Miss Miller , P6&P7 1957/58 , I remember the excitement when she married Mr Ure. I totally agree with Margaret Sinclair's message. Mary Frew( Hutton)

As an former pupil I remember Miss Miller with great respect, affection and gratitude. I was fortunate enough to have enjoyed her teaching in both Primary 6 and 7 (1957-8). A significant influence in my life, she personified the Scottish education system at its best. Margaret Sinclair (nee Condie).
