Jonesy's Home Show took place at the Dobbie Hall in Larbert last Friday and proved an emotional evening for all.
There was 16 fights on the night with the contests showcasing both excellent boxing and sportsmanship throughout.
The home boxers of Jonesy's Boxing Club, based in Plean, won all but one bout, which was lost on a split decision.
But the talent on show was first class with many Scottish and British title holders stepping into the ring to entertain the over 400 people who packed through the doors to see the bouts.
The evening also marked was the return of Jonesy's boxer Lee Welsh, who after a 12 month absence due to severe illness, headlined the bill and fought very strongly to defeat the current Scottish Novice Champion in his weight category.
This fight was an emotional experience for all at the event and the support for Lee through his battle with cancer was evident as his arm was lifted as the winner.
ClubSport Stirling in partnership with Active Stirling were in attendance to cheer on the boxers, but also to presented the boxing club with a cheque for £500 for new equipment.
This money will be used to buy some much-needed gloves and pads for training and, hopefully, will go a long way in creating more homegrown talent for the club.
Allen Gibson, club development officer at Active Stirling, said: “Well done to all the organisers, especially to Joanne Casey and Ricky Welsh who organised the ticket sales and co-ordinated the event as well as match maker James Casey, and all the coaches and boxers on the night. It was a fantastic night and the atmosphere was phenomenal.”
