BANNOCKBURN AFC secured a place in the quarter final of the RJM Sports Scottish Amateur Cup after a victory over Tullibody Community AFC.
The Burn defeated the Clackmannanshire side 5 – 1 at home on the local high school's artificial turf.
An early free kick from Andy McGown was parried by the goalie to safety as Bannockburn started battering the gates.
Soon after, David Donaldson pounced on a messy flick to put his side one up at around five minutes in.
He doubled his tally shortly after when a raking McGown pass found Darren Walker who crossed the ball in perfectly.
A the half hour mark, a sweeping move from defence put the Burn even further ahead.
David Donaldson fed Steven Knox who split the Tuillibody defence to bring in Allan Green to smash his shot past the keeper.
A fourth almost followed soon after, but Knox's shot hit the goalie.
Donaldson had two early second half chances and Knox looked certain to score, but the ball hit his standing leg.
Later, his back stick cross was headed home by McGown to give Bannockburn its fourth.
Nick McIntosh came on for Green and his pivot shot in the box made it 5 – 0 around 83 minutes in.
Almost within the minute, Tullibody broke their duck and scored before the final whistle marked the end of the match.
Every Burn player achieved pass marks or better on the day – they will welcome Colville Park at home on March 25.
