THE Party at the Park in Perth will not go ahead this summer, it has been confirmed.
The two-day event was due to take place in June this year, but earlier this week organisers announced the festival will be shelved.
A statement from the festival read: "We are desperately disappointed to have to announce that Party at The Park will not be going ahead this summer.
"We have worked hard over the last few years to bring an exciting and vibrant new event to the centre of Perth however, sadly, we have been unable to manage this.
"We appreciate that this will be hugely disappointing for our ticket holders, many of whom have supported the event by retaining their tickets and rolling over.
"Customers will receive an email directly from point of purchase with further information in due course."
Party at the Park is the sister festival to Linlithgow's Party at the Palace. It had been due to take place last year but was postponed due to the pandemic.
The reason behind the cancellation is thought to be a lack of support for festivals coming out of the pandemic era, with newer events finding it more difficult to become viable.
McFly and Steps were due to the headline the Perth event, with the likes of Be Charlotte, Callum Beattie, Post Ironic State and others due to perform.
