A MAN has been arrested in connection with the "hit and run" incident in Stirling last weekend.

The 31-year-old has been charged with road traffic offences, said to have taken place on King Street, on Saturday, January 14.

He will now be reported to the Procurator Fiscal.

An appeal was issued by Police Scotland earlier this week after a 63-year-old woman was struck by a car at around 2.20pm.

She was subsequently taken to hospital with a serious leg injury, officers said.
