ONE of Ireland’s biggest musical talents will be coming to Stirling as part of his tour across the UK.

Nathan Carter will be performing at the Albert Halls on Friday, February 17 as he embarks on a tour across Ireland and the UK.

Alongside Stirling, the British born country singer will also be performing in Dumfries Easterbrook Hall and Dundee’s Whitehall Theatre.

Starting out in 2007, Nathan received acclaim with his 2012 album Wagon Wheel, which peaked at number six on the Irish Albums Chart.

From there, five of his albums through the 2010s went number one in Ireland, a feat only shared by other big names One Direction and The Script.

Nathan is also responsible for bringing Irish country music back to the public eye, being the first country artist to reach number one after Garth Brooks.

Born in Liverpool in 1990 to parents originally from County Down, Nathan was exposed to country music from a very young age and learned to play the guitar, piano and accordion.

As a child, he was head chorister in Liverpool Boys Choir which whom he toured the world, performing a special show in front of the Pope in Rome.

He moved to Ireland when he was 18 and released his debut album Starting Out in 2007.

He has since gone on to release nine studio albums and four live albums.
