VOLUNTEERS are being sought to help at the Union Cycliste Internationale (UCI) Cycling World Championships.
Go Forth Stirling is looking for eight volunteer ambassadors to help run the event, which will see more than 8000 athletes from 120 countries descend on the city.
Around 25000 visitors are expected to arrive in Stirling during the three-day event from August 9 to August 11.
Volunteers would be responsible for directing visitors to restaurants, cafes, shops and attractions and help newcomers make the most of their trip to the city.
Danielle McRorie-Smith, Go Forth Stirling BID project director, said: “We’re expecting thousands of extra visitors to come to Stirling during the championships and are looking for individuals to help our BID ambassadors make them feel welcome and have a wonderful time.
“This is a fantastic opportunity to highlight the unique independent businesses and world-class destination we have in Stirling and the volunteers will assist the ambassadors with way-finding and recommending cafes and eateries.
“This is all about interacting with people from all over the world and sharing the many hidden gems which Stirling has to offer.
“It will be a fun volunteer opportunity and a chance to be at the heart of the excitement when the Championships come to the city.”
The eight volunteers selected will be required to work between 9am and 5pm across the three days.
Anyone interesting in getting involved should email their details to ambassadors@goforthstirling.co.uk, call 01786 445 080 or send a message via Whatsapp to the same number.
