A FORTH VALLEY man has been jailed for a campaign of domestic abuse, which included trying to set fire to his partner.
Connor Orr had sprayed deodorant on the woman's head then tried to ignite it with a lighter.
The 26-year-old, of Gillies Hill, Cambusbarron, was jailed when he appeared for sentencing at Alloa Sheriff Court last Thursday, October 26.
He admitted that between December 13, 2021, and May 31, last year, at Woodside Road, Alloa and elsewhere, he engaged in an abusive course of conduct towards his partner.
Orr punched doors causing damage to them, shouted and swore at her, made derogatory comments to her, seized her by throat compressing it, pushed her on the body, sprayed deodorant on her head and attempted to set fire to it with a lighter.
Sheriff Neil Bowie told him: "This was domestic abuse committed over five months and towards the end of a period of you being on supervision.
"You sprayed deodorant on her head and tried to set fire to it. This would have been terrifying for this young woman."
The sheriff jailed Orr for eight months and also imposed a three-year non-harassment order.
