A WOMAN has been convicted after admitting killing another woman at a care facility in Stirling.
Kellyanne McNaughton, 33, pleaded guilty to culpable homicide at the High Court in Glasgow on Monday, January 8.
She was convicted over the killing of Michele Rutherford, 54, at a care facility on Craighall Street on Tuesday, March 7, 2023.
Michele had been working at the facility before she was seriously injured shortly after 11am on the day of the incident.
She was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment but was later pronounced dead.
McNaughton was arrested on the same day.
Detective inspector Scott Roxburgh said: “Michele Rutherford lost her life in tragic circumstances while at work caring for others.
“We know her loss has had a lasting impact on a great many people and, of course her family.
“Nothing can change what happened but I hope that this conviction can provide some degree of closure.”
Kellyanne McNaughton will reappear for sentencing at a later date.
